Is Your Insurance Protecting You?

TYPES OF MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE

Whether your motorcycle is your primary mode of transportation or you only ride once in a blue moon, having a motorcycle insurance policy will help protect you and your bike. Motorcycle insurance policies vary both in price and level of protection. Depending on your needs, Alliance Insurance of the Rockies will help you choose the best policy for your situation.

COLLISION
INSURANCE

Collision insurance is one of the most popular types of motorcycle insurance policies. Motorcycle collision insurance covers damage to your motorcycle after colliding with another object. This can be anything from another motorcycle to a building.

PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION

In the event of an accident, a personal injury protection policy will help cover your medical bills, lost wages due to an inability to work and childcare services. Depending on the severity of your accident, this insurance policy may cover additional costs.

COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE

Comprehensive motorcycle insurance helps cover the costs of any damage your motorcycle endures that is caused by something other than an accident. This includes damages caused by fire, theft, floods, strong winds and vandalism.

UNINSURED MOTORIST COVERAGE

Uninsured motorist coverage, also known as underinsured motorist coverage, helps you if you’re involved in an accident caused by an uninsured driver. In addition to your injuries, uninsured coverage will also cover the injuries of your passenger.

ACCESSORIES COVERAGE

In order to have an accessories insurance policy, you must carry either comprehensive motorcycle insurance or collision motorcycle insurance. Accessories insurance covers items such as backrests, saddlebags, chrome parts, seats and radios.

LIABILITY

INSURANCE

In Colorado, as a motorcyclist, you’re required to carry a certain amount of liability insurance. Liability insurance covers property damage and bodily harm done to others, but it does not pay for any damage you or your bike have endured.
